Boulder is a beautiful place to live! The flatirons are spectacular and there are so many trails to hike. The floods last fall really put a damper on hiking up in the foothills. Some trails are still closed but most are open. So today my friend Ingrid and I took the dogs for a leisurely 4 hour( 6.7 miles) hike. We were quite surprised to see that it was very cloudy and a bit rainy as we started the hike. But we decided to give it a go. I am so glad we did! It was so fun!
Of course I had to bring a camera. I left the big telephoto lens home and brought along my new smaller lens. There were towhees singing to us along the whole trail. This one posed for me.
Here's what I saw along the trail......
We had some wet and happy dogs!
This is Raven.....
This is Breezy....
And of course the Hazel dog.....
There are so many trails to explore along the flatirons. Hazel and I are gonna have fun this summer!
