Snow Day

Well, the storm did make an appearance this weekend. We got about 15 inches in Boulder. It was the heavy, wet spring snow. So it quickly compacted and started to melt. Hazel, the kitties and I spent a nice relaxing indoor day on Saturday. Now it's Sunday and the roads were clear. So Hazel and I drove over to twin lakes. I could see the owls and Hazel could get some play time.

A winter wonderland!

The robins were very busy but this one stopped to pose for me. Did I mention I love my new lens? Look at that detail!

I quickly found Sonny in one of his favorite spots. Guess the snow did not bother him. I checked on the owlets and they were tucked deep in the nest.

Hazel and I did a lap around the west lake where dogs can be off leash. We were almost all the way around the lake when I spotted this great blue heron.....

Yes, Hazel loves the snow!

We walked back by the nest and one of the owlets was peeking out. ..

And then I spotted Cher in one of her usual spots...

I did not expect to get out this weekend, so this is was a nice bonus! Thanks for reading!
