Crow vs Cher

What a beautiful morning to get up early and go see the owls. I hurried down the path wondering if Elmo was still in the nest....yup! He was having a nap.....

I crossed over the green pipe to find Cher and Nike. Cher was sitting high up in a tree looking magnificent....

It only took a few minutes to locate Nike. Somehow I managed to get a photo of her.

               Very cute ,huh? She's still tucked nicely in a safe place and not accessible to the other photographers......


As I was enjoying the beautiful morning, a crow showed up to annoy Cher.

The crow got about 6 feet from Cher, so I couldn't get them both in the same shot. Seemed like the crow was calling for back up from other crows. But none of his friends showed up. So he stuck around and was annoying. Cher stood her ground as her young was close by.

Finally the crow left and Cher flew to a branch closer to Nike.

I decided to find Sonny which only took a minute. He had found a nice place to get some much needed sleep.

Finally, it was time to go home. so I stopped by to see if Elmo was awake....

I really thought he'd be out of the nest by now as he's almost the same size as Nike. Guess he's enjoying having the nest all to himself....
