Owl Update

     Wednesday was a busy day but it looked like the only day I had time to pop over to see my owl friends. So I was there around 4:30pm hoping for a good show. It took a bit before I found Cher sitting high in a tree. Here she is stretching to ready for the night......

 As I have mentioned before, the GHOs are very catlike. They almost always do some nice stretches and yoga type poses before they start their day( night). A good lesson for all of us,huh?


After Cher had stretched she flew to a branch near the nest.....

   After a few minutes, she flew to another branch.....

 Then Sonny got into the act and flew into the nest......

   He hung out for a bit then flew out to a nearby branch.....

     As we were watching Sonny, a gal walked by. She said " wow! He's posing for you!" I just smiled and agreed.
   This is the beginning of my third year of observing and learning from my owl friends. They have been such good teachers and I'm looking forward to learning more and more from these wise Beings!

Cher is not on the nest yet, but we expect it any day now.........
