Have I mentioned I love my new lens? Ha! Well Hazel and I headed to north Boulder to hike today and I just couldn't leave my camera at home.
I quickly spotted a robin looking for breakfast. I was hoping to get a shot of him eating a worm but no luck.....
The trail goes around a working ranch and people board their horses here. So we always walk by a few horse trailers. A pair of house finches were hanging out.....
I stopped to get some pics of a meadowlark and Hazel took time to cool off in a patch of snow...
I love meadowlarks!
I also enjoy the prairie dogs....
I couldn't get this bird to turn around. I'm thinking it's a female mountain blue bird.....
One of my favorite birds is the towhee! They normally like to hide among the bushes but I was patient and he gave me these pics!
And why do I have a pic of a nail? Well, I thought it might make a fun note card titled
" you nailed it!"
Hazel dog and I got back to the car just as two pelicans flew over us......cool!
We took the long way home to drive by the osprey nest on 51st but they weren't around. I also stopped at the old brick building to see the kestrels and here he was!
Thanks for reading! And did I mention I love my new lens?????
