We finally have had some cooler temperatures the last few days. It's so nice to start my hike with a jacket on for at least the first part. So having the cooler temps got me thinking about hiking the Homestead trail in south Boulder. The trail is too hot for Hazel and I to hike during the summer but today seemed like the day to do it.
Of course I wanted to bring my camera along but I knew there wouldn't be much wildlife to see. But I had another idea. I just learned about a very cool photo app from my nephew called Prisma. It takes your photos and with a few clicks, it turns them into works of art. So I thought it would be fun to take some pics and then use the app to see what would happen.
As you will see, I shared both the original photo and then what it looked like using the app.
So Hazel and I headed down to the Homestead trail to enjoy the beautiful day!
There's a nice old building at the beginning of the trail.....
The trail....
Of course Hazel posed for me without me even asking.....
A nice view.......
Tree bark......
Flowers......I like how this one turned out!
The moon.....
Wooden bridge.....
Trail sign.....
Even though I did not have my telephoto lens, I had to attempt a wildlife pic.....
love how this bridge turned out with the app....
The hike was very fun but I wasn't ready to head home yet. There are some nice old buildings over on Cherryvale road. So I thought I'd go check it out.....
I like how this turned out.....
Ha! I couldn't resist trying to get a pic of this red tailed hawk.......came out pretty cool!
This is my favorite barn! Finally took a pic of it!
And the next pics are of the same barn from different angles......
This one came out very nice!
Thanks for reading!
