A new owl in town?

What a fun evening......Felt the need to go visit my owl friends, so I met Georgia around 6pm. We did a lap around the east lake looking for the owls and having a fun chat. We didn't see anyone, so we headed over to the canal behind the school. The sun was just setting and an owl flew up from the canal into a nearby tree. I quickly got a few photos and then we walked to closer to see if it was Penelope or Horton. Hmmmm.... Georgia noticed this owl had beautiful large spots on his chest. And we both agreed this owl's energy was different than Horton or Penelope's. So who was this handsome owl? He seemed to be the same age at our owl friends. Maybe he was interested in Penelope for a mate?
As we stood admiring him, another owl flew into the same tree. We quickly recognized that it was Horton. I got a few pics of him, looked back at the new owl but he was gone. Seems Horton let him know that the tree was all his.
Horton sat there for a bit and we enjoyed his beauty. He then flew along the canal to a street light pole. He sat there preening himself and getting ready for a night of hunting.
We finally called it a night and headed home.
