a rainy evening with the owls

Here in Colorado, we never complain when we get moisture such as rain or snow. Well, we might complain about the snow :)  Lucky for us, we're getting a nice bit of rain while the mountains are gonna get a foot of snow. Yes, a foot!
It wasn't raining too hard, so thought it would be fun to go see the owls. Cher was tucked in the nest with the owlets and didn't look like she was gonna leave any time soon.

Sonny was snoozing on a branch nearby. How handsome is he....

Once Sonny woke up, he flew down into the creek bed. We were hoping he caught dinner but he came up empty handed or taloned....so he flew to a nearby tree out of the rain and chilled for a bit....

It finally started raining pretty hard, so I decided to head home for dinner.
