Friday Night with the Owls

Typical Colorado weather! We had some rain and snow yesterday evening. But by this afternoon the sun was shining and all the snow had melted. Seemed like a good idea to 

see my owl friends. So I got there about 5:30pm and I had them all to myself again! Perfect!

I spotted Cher in a tree across from the nest and Sonny was down the path in one of his favorite spots. The owlets were sleeping, so I sat on my favorite tree stump and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon.

It wasn't long before Cher flew across the path to be near the nest.......

And the owlets were starting to wake up.....

Cher did some preening.....

Then she flew into the nest to check on the kids.....

Then she headed out to find dinner for the kids.....

She didn't get back until after dark with dinner so I couldn't get any pics. It looked like rabbit was on the menu again...yum!
