I had not been over in the evening to see the owls this season, so tonight was the night. Luckily there were not many people around so it was a pleasant evening. There's two owlets this season. After having three owlets each of the last two years, I figured they were due for less work.....
How cute is this one!
Here you can see both of them. The eggs usually hatch a few days apart, so it's normal for one to be bigger than the other.
Momma Cher was sitting across from the nest. She stretched a bit and just as it was getting dark she flew towards the nest....
Then she flew into the nest where she had some rabbit stashed. She pulled pieces off, fed the kids, then took the rest with her....
I never get tired of watching my owl friends raise their young! Better than any TV show!
