Mom has dinner in foot
Cher heading out for more food
Well, we're pretty close to a full moon and it was evident last night. There were just two photographers by the owl nest which was nice. There was also a husky mix running around with no owner in sight. He was a nice enough dog but he was a bit high energy. We let him be for a bit and then were able to get a phone number off his tags. Called his dad who was out looking for him. Got them reunited which felt good!
Then the crazy people started showing up.........there were 2 women asking lots of questions about the owls. They wanted to know if the female owl did all the work of feeding the babies. We explained that both owls fed the kids. The one woman made a rude remark about how human women do all the work. Mean while there was a nice man next to me photographing the owls. How rude! That gal sure had some issues about men, huh?
Then a guy and gal came by and his energy was chaotic! to me, it felt like a pinball in a pinball machine. Thankfully they left in a few minutes.
And finally a group of about 4-5 people came by. Pretty sure they had a few beers in them and they had Boston accents. I really wanted to hassle them about how the Redsox are sucking right now but I restrained myself :)
Soon all was peaceful and Cher appeared with dinner- a yummy meadow vole. She gave the kids dinner and then spent quite a bit of time with the babies. Maybe she was giving them a bath?
Georgia and I patiently waited for Cher to leave the nest, so I could get a final shot off.
The moon was up, the wind picked up and finally she took off........how beautiful!
Enjoy...........
