I headed over to see what the owls were up to. I didn't have to look hard to find Sonny tucked out of the wind but he was still getting blown around.
I also got some video to really show how windy it was.......
While I was watching Sonny, I saw a lump in the tree behind him. OMG! It was Nike! Seems she finally decided to go exploring and had moved about 100 ft west of her previous perch. Must have took her all night as she wove her way through the branches. She was a very tired girl as I got these pics.....
The light was shining up through the clouds as the sun set......
We kept looking for Elmo in the area that we saw him yesterday. But with all the wind, we figured he was tucked in the foliage. Cher was sitting in a nearby tree for a bit but then she flew off. We figured the kids had got fed earlier, so there would be no show tonight....
We did have about 30 Japanese tourists come by to see the owls. There's a B&B a few blocks away. The tourists were here to visit Boulder and do the Bolder Boulder 10k on Monday. Somehow they heard about the owls and had to check them out. They got a glimpse of momma Cher but didn't get much of a show compared to what we got the other night.
But they seemed happy to see a GHO, took lots of pics and then headed back to the B&B.
You never know who you will meet at the owl nest :)
