I have a new obsession with the bobolinks, so I had to go over and see them. I've been over there at least five times and within ten minutes, I always see them!
Here's what I got today......
I also got some video of of him singing......
I never get tired of the incredible views from this location....
Not much else was going on, so I headed over to see my owl friends. I saw Sonny sitting in one of his favorite trees overlooking the field. But did not see any of the other owls. Oh well, I decided to go over to see my other owl friends. I call them the Asian owls to distinguish them from my Twin Lakes owl friends. And they do like they are from Asia. They are much shyer than the Twin Lakes owls, so I only over there occasionally. I was pretty sure their young had left the nest around the same time as Nike and Elmo. So today was a good day to go see. It took all of five minutes to find them. They were sitting about 50 feet apart and seemed comfortable with me photographing them.....
While watching the owls, a kestral showed up to have his pic taken
Next, I headed over to the Teller Farm trail. I was trying to get some pics of a gold finch when this cute baby rabbit showed up......
And finally, I saw both a western kingbird and an eastern kingbird....
What a fun morning........enjoy!
Happy Memorial Day!!!
