It's been a whirlwind the last few weeks. Work, play and getting ready to head back east to visit the family. So that left little time to put a blog together. While I usually write a blog about my wildlife adventures, I thought it would be fun to share some pics from my trip. And yes I included some wildlife pics cause that's what I do.
My sister has two cats...Indy and Yuengling. Mostly he goes by Yueng. Very sweet and fun cats that are extremely photogenic!
Yes that is a ripped up paper bag. They love it!
Our first adventure was to go check out the Walkway over the Hudson. It was rail road tracks they they converted into a walking path. Even in the middle of the week it was busy with walkers, runners and cyclists. It was very fun!
It's come to this! Now there's a special spot marked for selfies. Really?
The leaves were just starting to turn colors!
More kitty shots cause they are so handsome! Seems the kitties will chase bubbles! so damn cute!
The next day we went to Waywayanda state park looking for colors and some birds!
This is a blue headed vireo! Saw a few of them and finally got an okay pic of this guy! Also saw a pileated woodpecker but he was too busy to pose for a pic......
Played with closeups of one of the kitties......you can really appreciate the deep rich colors of his coat!
And the next day we went to the Wallkill National wildlife Refuge. We had the place all to ourselves. Spotted this guy enjoying a yummy caterpillar. He's an eastern bluebird!
There was something about this tree! Tucked in but standing out!
Headed down to Brooklyn to see my nephew and his fiance. We walked over to a food festival and got good looks of manhattan.....
And finally on the morning I was leaving, I walked around seeing what was around to photograph. Loved the colors of this leaf.....
And I scored a pic of a cardinal! They do make it west of the Mississippi but they are not common. So was happy to at least see one and get a pic!
All in all, a very fun trip! Hazel and the kitties had a great time with their favorite pet sitter while I was gone. Nice to be back home in beautiful Boulder!
Thanks for reading!
