My owl friends: Owls and Herons

Saturday was such a fun day! I did animal communication sessions at Hank's Petfood Market. It was their( Lisa and Teresa's) grand opening. So it was a busy day! I stopped by the owls on the way home. It was quiet, so went home, fed the kids and headed back over to hang with my owl friends.
Peewee Penelope is looking good! She already seems comfortable being out of the nest, so that was good. Cher was sleeping nearby. She woke up and I got some nice pics of her taking off. Amazing!
I walked over to see Horton and my goodness, he has had a growth spurt. He showed off by flapping his massive wing span. Very impressive and I told him so :)
While watching Horton, a great blue heron landed and walked around for bit. Very cool!
Karen, Georgia and I were hoping to see the kids get dinner. It was getting dark and finally we saw Cher had a yummy meadow vole. She delivered it to Penelope who gulped it down like a pro! It was too dark to get a pic of that but it was very fun to watch!
