I saw the weather report for Sunday and it did not look good. It could be very cloudy and rainy when I woke up but you never know around here. The weather people have been known to be wrong. So I had a few ideas of what to do depending on the weather.....
Lucky for Hazel, I woke up to a pretty cloudy day. So I decided to take Hazel for a nice hike and bring along the camera just in case.
Here is the gloomy day at the Boulder valley ranch loop.......
Prairie dogs are quite common around here. And it also common for dogs to chase them. Not a good idea as that can get you up to a $1000.00 fine if a ranger sees that happen. Lucky for me, Hazel does not chase P dogs, or rabbits, or even deer. Yes, she is the perfect dog.
So we can walk right by them and I was even able to get some fun pics.
Here is Hazel's favorite pond to go swimming. We took the long way to get there.....
When we got to the pond, this duck was there. Actually we see him almost every time we go swimming here. I think he's a hybrid of a mallard and who knows what else.
So Hazel and I are having fun at the pond when a family shows up. Now the area is plenty big enough for all of us to enjoy. But this family chose to get as close as possible. Where the 2 kids are standing is where Hazel and I were playing. Really? The kids were loud and a bit obnoxious, so we left. That was a first for sure.....
There are always horses grazing nearby. This guy posed nicely for me.....
Even with the obnoxious people, we had a great time and Hazel was a happy dog!
