Finally, we got a typical spring snow storm! It started Thursday evening and continued through Friday. We were supposed to get 2-6 inches but we got 13 inches! We needed it and I was able to stay home all day Friday, so I loved it! I worked on Saturday so I knew Sunday morning was Hazel time. So I grabbed my camera and Hazel dog and we headed over to the Boulder Valley Ranch loop. Although it was only 20', the sun was shining and it felt much warmer than what the thermometer said.
It was pretty quiet until I came upon this meadowlark singing his heart out!
Hazel loves the snow as much as she loves the water, so she had a great time!
We got to the pond and this red winged blackbird was setting up his territory. Luckily we were not in it. I have been dive bombed by these guys and they are fierce!
The views are spectacular, especially after a snow storm!
Hazel was happy and I was happy. So we headed home for a fun day of watching some March Madness!
Thanks for reading!
